Project Datalink Options
The Project Datalink options are used to manage Data Documents. They allow you to save the state of a GDD or HDD during a calculation and store it on your computer, as well as to specify options for GDD/HDD creation and price scenario weighting. All fields are explained in the table below.
Field | Description |
---|---|
Create GDD physical files on startup | This option is used by IT staff to help diagnose certain problems. Unless otherwise directed, it should be left unchecked. |
Use price scenario with maximum weighting | If you use multiple price scenarios with positive weightings, this option will set the scenario with the biggest weighting as the default. Otherwise, all weightings will be applied, and the PRICE_SCENARIO_NAME range in calculated GDDs will contain several values and will be displayed separated by "|", for example: 2008 Price Forecast|0.8|2009 Price Forecast|0.2| |
Create Workbook files for calculated GDD/HDD documents |
Check this box to create a copy of each calculated GDD or HDD on your computer. This copy will contain all calculated data and updated links, while the original document in the database will remain unchanged. Click on to select the folder where these files will be stored; we recommend creating a special directory for this purpose; for example, C:\Temp\GDD. Calculated documents are named as follows:
